Herbruck's of PA is looking for motivated individuals to build our local team! Herbruck's is based out of Michigan and has expanded to Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. The company is built on family values, strong employee culture, and most importantly, the utmost respect for our hens. After all, without them, we have no eggs! We serve the bird.

With locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, Herbruck's supplies nearly 3 billion farm-fresh eggs and 55 million pounds of liquid egg product to retailers and foodservice outlets across the nation annually. Our flock has grown from 3,000 egg-laying hens in the late 1950s to 10+ million today.

The production II position is ideal for someone with equipment operation experience and some basic mechanical knowledge. if you have worked in agriculture, you make a great candidate! You will be working with machinery and around our hens!

Responsibilities:

Cleaning of barns and equipment.
Maintenance and proper running of conveyor belts.
Collection of and processing of manure.
Repairing manure belts if needed.
Proficient in equipment maintenance and repair including manure belts, etc.
Perform daily/weekly activities for the role at intermediate level.
Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to include weekends and holidays.
Intermediate level understanding of animal welfare and maintaining Herbruck’s standard of care.
No contact with birds, swine, or cattle.
