Processing Maintenance Supervisor-Kendallville-Indiana
Reports To: Maintenance Manager/ Assistant Maintenance Manager
Location/Department: Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch/ Various locations/ Processing Maintenance
Position Hours: Full Time, Various hours
Purpose: The Maintenance V is an advanced skill level and or a supervisor position in the Maintenance Processing series. You will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery. Using computerized systems, you will oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs. You will also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. A maintenance supervisor will be responsible for training new technicians as they onboard.
Essential Job Duties:
· Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods
· Work with Plant management on maintaining machine efficiencies.
· Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
· Diagnose breakdown problems.
· Adding or removing of process machinery.
· Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
· Will promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and be responsible for proper material storage and waste disposal.
· Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
· Respond to and lead actions associated with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
· Improve health and safety policies and procedures.
· Maintains continuity between Maintenance, Processing, Safety and Quality teams by documenting and/or communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs as they arise.
· Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees. Will assist in planning and facilitating new and existing associate training.
· Write maintenance strategies to help with preventive maintenance.
· Ensure there is continuous maintenance coverage of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
· Communicate effectively with others at various levels using both oral and written communication skills.
· Weekly Meetings
· Responsible for all necessary reporting and required paperwork.
· Successfully lead and function within a team environment and be able to adapt to change.
· Complete training in a timely manner as they are assigned in LMS.
· Any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to utilize computerized workflow scheduling, tracking and documentation software.” i.e., Asset Essentials Dude Solutions
· Ability to perform major machine diagnostics and performance tuning.
· Ability to use a DVM (digital voltage meter) to measure voltage, continuity, resistance.
· Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, manuals, and blueprints.
· Proven mechanical / electrical aptitude as tested with Herbruck’s approved test.
· Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

· Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Capable of working weekends and maintaining a flexible schedule. This includes regularly scheduled shifts Saturday and Sunday as well as holidays when needed. (Being on Call)
· Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors.
· Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
