PA - Production Team Lead - 2nd Shift Bilingual Required

With locations in Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, Herbruck's supplies nearly 3 billion farm-fresh eggs and 55 million pounds of liquid egg product to retailers and foodservice outlets across the nation annually. Our flock has grown from 3,000 egg-laying hens in the late 1950s to 10+ million today.
The Production Team Lead position is ideal for anyone who has experience working in agriculture and also has some leadership experience.
Position Summary:
This position will assist in supervising and ensuring the safe completion of daily work of all members in the barns on second shift. It is the responsibility of the team lead do ensure the health and welfare of the hens is top priority during second shift. All tasked need to be overseen and completed by all employees. The team lead will ensure all tasks have been completed before the end of the shift. This is a position working in the houses with live animals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Follow biosecurity practices on all company sites
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Train new and existing employees
- Watch over assigned chicken houses (includes production, feed, water, pits, mortality and managing housework)
- Monitor employees on team to ensure they follow procedure, complete assigned work, and comply with policies.
- Review schedule regularly and determine if duties are being met
- Review pest management, potential disease issues
- Problem solve with supervisor on potential solutions for proper staffing needs
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Bilingual in Spanish REQUIRED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Have the ability to handle all job responsibilities listed above
- Agriculture experience required
- Have the ability to lead and motivate a team with a positive attitude.
- Must not own or maintain routine contact with birds, pigs or cattle.
- Have the ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25lbs continuously throughout the day.
- Should be comfortable working around moving machinery and working in a farm environment with very dusty conditions.
